Orifice Plate Materials

The standard material for their orifice plates is stainless steel to ASTM A240 316/316L.Other materials can be used if required and these include 304 SS; 321 SS; Alloy 400; Alloy 825; Alloy C276; Titanium; Alloy 625; 22Cr Duplex stainless steels; 25Cr Super Duplex st steels; 6 Mo stainless steel; 90/10 Cu/Ni, PTFE.

Calculations are performed in accordance with BS EN ISO 5167-1: 2003, unless otherwise requested.

Typically between 40 and 95% of the generated differential pressure, dependent on the throat ratio (d/D).
